Last Updated on

Effective from Sep. 15, 2019, the following guidelines are in effect*:

TIER 1 CREDIT ACCOUNT

    • NO DUTY OUTLAYS WILL BE MADE ON AMOUNTS OF $25,000 AND HIGHER WITHOUT ADVANCE PAYMENT
    • IMPORTER MAY NOT HAVE ACCUMULATED, OUTSTANDING INVOICE BALANCE EXCEEDING $50,000

TIER 2 CREDIT ACCOUNT

    • NON-PARTICIPATING IMPORTER ENTRIES WITH TOTAL CBP COLLECTION OF $1500 OR MORE WILL REQUIRE ADVANCE PAYMENT.
      • ADD $13 FOR WIRE TRANSFER PAYMENTS! 04/07/20
    • NON-PARTICIPATING IMPORTER ENTRIES WITH TOTAL CBP COLLECTION UNDER $1500 WILL BE ASSESSED 1.5% FUNDS ADVANCE FEE.
    • TO BECOME A TIER 1 CREDIT ACCOUNT, SIMPLY ESTABLISH A TRACK RECORD OF PAYING YOUR BALANCE IN FULL ON A WEEKLY BASIS (via ACH or scanned check for remote deposit).

*Importers participating in the CBP ACH option are not affected by these restrictions.

Please be aware that our goal is to transition importers to direct duty payments via the simple, secure ACH option. It is not FgL’s desire to be a banker, especially in light of the challenging international trade environment.
